Lam Dorji

Lam Dorji has over 20 years of experience in environmental conservation and organisational management. In 2004, he obtained his doctoral degree from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. His research interests include common pool resources, common property, political economy, and institutional arrangements for managing natural resources. In the past, he has served as the executive director of Bhutan’s Royal Society for Protection of Nature, a member of the National Environment Commission, a board member at the Climate Action Network South Asia, and a visiting faculty member of the School of Environment, Resources, and Development at the Asian Institute of Technology. Dorji is currently the team leader for the Asian Development Bank’s technical assistance to Bhutan under a project called ‘Adapting to Climate Change through Integrated Water Resource Management’. Additionally, he is the chairman of the Global Water Partnership South Asia, a member of the research and innovations committee at the Royal University of Bhutan, and a member of the management board of the Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation.
